My Journey to lose it.
Not my mind! I think that is gone! My weight. It is the ever lasting battle! Something is a bit different this time. It all started with a drawing. A child's drawing, my daughter at a restaurant drew a picture of me as she sees me. It was truly an eye opener. How I really look like to her, to my family, to world.
(It's more sad the look on my face.)
I knew right there that I just couldn't hide behind the excuses anymore.. such as we moved to a whole different part of the country or I lost my son at 22weeks and I have all this pregnancy weight, no more.
That is the thing about excuses; they are useless.
So I start on 10th of September on my road (on the road again..) to really being healthy and fit not just for my family but for myself and my Lord. I must take care of my body which is the container of the soul. A soul that is made in the image of God. I also know and feel that my weight has a great deal to do with me not being able to get pregnant again.
So I went back to South Beach, it just seem to work and doing my Catholic Workout and exercises machine. I lost 11 pounds in one month. Than I have been at the same weight now for a few weeks. I started to do even more research on this whole nutrition and stuff. I got out lots of books at the library, have been study as my life depends on it. Because it does! I believe I found the key to my car and I hope to trade in that car for the latest one..
The Carb-Cycling. I start with this great book by a wonderful guy who is really into helping others lose it.
"Choose to Loose" By Chris Powell. I didn't know that he has a tv show on abc about the helping very heavy people lose the weight. You should check out these stories on YouTube. His website is http://chrispowell.com/ . In a nutshell: You have one day of low-carb (six meals.. yes six meals, every 3 hours and breakfast is within 30mins. of waking up and always a high-carb meal ) and one day of High-carb and the best part is you have either one Free Day (Sunday is set for me!!) or you can choose one free meal 3x a week.
We can't forget the exercises either part of it. 3 days of shapers (weight left but you can use your body, 3 exercises: push ups, curl ups and squats ) and 6 days of intervals 15 to 30 mins a day.(I love intervals, it makes my black machine look sweet and time does go by quick!)Get the book , in your library or used on amazon or at walmart. It is an eye opener.
I have a goal in mind (2 months count down to Mexico) that I want to lose at least 15 pounds. At Least.
