Your duty is to sanctify yourself. Yes, even you. Who thinks that this task is only for priests and religious? To everyone, without exception, our Lord said: Be ye perfect, as my heavenly Father is perfect. St. Josemaria

The Devil in Disguise

"How can we be pessimistic if Our Lord has promised that he will be with us until the end of the world?"

(cf.Matt 28:20) Escriva, In Love with the Church

Christian joy has a very special nature. It can weather the worse of storms, the darkest of moments. Christian joy can overcome any difficulty.

Think of these words during the times that our beloved Country is going to go through!

For Lent, I will start and finish reading this book that was given to me by my father few years ago. I wish that I had read it before hand, it would most likely prevent lots of pain and struggle I face now in my life!

Lukewarmness is where I am now!

Lukewarmness is a grave sickness of soul which can strike at any stage of one's interior life.

When the soul falls into lukewarmness, its vision of Christ becomes blurred. The soul loses its former clarity of purpose and the life of piety becomes an ongoing nuisance, something "that has to be done."

The Soul is saddened by the thoughts of its lost compensations. It hardly puts up a fight against temptation.

Carelessness and neglect of little things leads inevitably to serious temptations and lukewarmness.Lukewarmness makes us insensitive to the continuous invitations of the Holy Spirit.
Francis Carvajal, Lukewarmness, The Devil in Disguise

This is where I find my soul, Lukewarmness...

May God have Mercy on my Soul..

May these forty days..

Be the radical cure for lukewarmness..

The Spirit of Contrition..

"Walking for Life"

"America you are beautiful . . . and blessed . . . . The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life."

- Pope John Paul II

In the spirit of 40daysforlife that will start on Ash Wednesday, I will be taking up my walking shoes to rise money for the Pro-life organization. Would you like to sponsor me? For each mile that I walk during these 40 days (walking dvd program),

10 cents, a dollar, $5 dollars, it doesn't matter how much!

On Easter Sunday, PrincessGirl will pick from a basket an Pro-life organization to donate the money raised! (If you have any suggestions on an organization, please let us know).

If you are able to sponsor please email us at with how much a mile and how to contact you at the end of the 40 days!

Thank you and God bless!

"What will God accomplish when individuals and communities across our nation unite for 40 days of prayer and fasting, pulling out all the stops to end the violence of abortion? Now is the time for America to find out."~ ~

I am late.. Its actually Thursday night and Wednesday seem to come and go very fast. I was only online about 11:30pm and I just couldn't keep my eyes open!..

Here it goes:
The Good: I lost another 1.5 lbs and walking an about at least 2 to 3 miles daily

The Bad: Too many days off from moving more than usually! When I skip writing down what I eat, I notice that I don't eat as well!

The Ugly: Last night.. We went to friends house to see USA play Mexico in soccer and we had such a meal, pizza, wings, chips, beer and coke.. Talk about healthy! I sure hope it doesn't set the rest of the week .. thu, tomorrow is Little Flower St. Valentine's party and Saturday is our homeschooling St.Valentines Party.. aww..

The Goals: To lose 2 lbs, to walk at least 4 out of 7 days, to keep drinking and writing!!

Thanks again for letting me share with you! It does help!

Glorious Day for Blondie!

Our Lady to St. Bernadette at Lourdes
“Would you have the graciousness to come here for fifteen days? I do not promise you happiness in this world but in the next.”

Today, two years ago, my little Blondie became a daughter of God! We always celebrate this day as more important than her birthday! We usually have a special dessert to go with dinner and a small gift to transcend what a great gift her faith is! That her faith is a gift from God and we pray that she will open it and cherish it always!

God bless you, little one. May Our Blessed Mother of Lourdes guide you, protect you, encourage you and bless you always!

How true?

"We cannot expect the Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism."-

The Goals:

Lose another 2lbs..(slow and steady.)

Walk at least 10miles in 7 days which means no days off, even if I do one mile on any given Sunday!(I am getting one of those pedometers...word to the wise.. don't get a cheap one less than $15.. doesn't work! well at least from Walmart!)

Keep writing and drinking the water!(a note on that.. I bought a pack of 24 for $3 at walmart, I drink one and refilled it throughout the day.. I noticed , that one of those bottle's is a 16oz and you are to drink at least 8 I was actually drink twice b/c they were 16oz bottles..ha ha.. but I tell my other self.. that still need to drink 8 of those bottles!)
