Your duty is to sanctify yourself. Yes, even you. Who thinks that this task is only for priests and religious? To everyone, without exception, our Lord said: Be ye perfect, as my heavenly Father is perfect. St. Josemaria

St.Josemaria's Feast Day

Today is the Feast of St.Josemaria. Here he is telling us how Christ called him .

“Love arrived when least expected.” These are the lyrics from a song sung by a group of young women to St. Josemaría. He used them to recall the moment when Love came into his life: “Christ told me: you are mine.” (01’40”)

The Art of Eating Beans

Here is Blondie eating her black beans. Life is good at this age when it just doesn't matter how you eat as long as you enjoy it while you are eating it! Living through the eyes of a child!

PrincessGirl 1st Violin Recital

Yesterday was Princess Girl's 1st Violin Recital and it was just so cute to watch her. I am amazed how only after starting late in the year and with just 4 private lessons, she goes on the stage as if she was meant to do this with such easy. You just see how fearless they can be. I for sure wouldn't be able to do that but maybe as child? She seem to love it and afterwards we had company over for dinner and she kept playing her violin for them and so proud she was. I am bless that God has given us such a beautiful child but not just the beauty that you see but the beauty that you feel when you are with her! God bless you, PrincessGirl, stay true to your vocation and your innocence!

What is Opus Dei?

On June 26th is the Feast of St.Josemaria . In his honor , I have posted this video about what is Opus Dei and everyday until his Feast day I will post something on St. Josemaria so that you will be able to learn more about it and just view how loveable man he was and a saint that he is!

The King Lives Here!

" The King Lives Here"

My husband became back save and sound on Sunday. Thank God. He took some great pictures of his trip. The sign above is from the temple of the last king in Korea. The King Lives Here! Wouldn't it be nice to see this on our Churches, for we hold the King of All time... Our Beloved Lord. But even with signs.. do we treat Him like a King, do we behave as we are in the presence of the King, sadly many time we do not act as we are in the presence of the Lord of All Lord, Kings of All Kings. What does it take? Grace in our hearts!

Just a Smile!

“Smiling constantly, which is often very difficult; serving the Lord with joy and serving other people, for his sake, with joy too; these are two specific areas I want to stress. It’s like a bunch of flowers which a little child picks as he trots back and forth: while the rest have only walked half a kilometer, the little one has covered several kilometers, and the others don’t even notice. Even if you reach a high position in life, make the effort to be very little before God, and to be the servants of all.” In these words Saint Josemaría encouraged those who lived with him in Rome to make the most of little everyday things.

What are some of the little everyday things....
Waking up before the kids wake up
Feeling a breeze as you sit by the window
The smile from your son's face as you bring him down from his crib
The smell of coffee that you made for your husband
A phone call from a friend
Seeing the kids play nicely at the sandbox
Reading a spiritual book and feeling that it was meant for you that day
Unexpected kiss from a little boy
Nice nap
A evening sundown

There is so many little everyday things that go unnoticed. Smiling the most simple way to show love and feel loved yet its the hardest thing to do at time. We don't notice we are not smiling until someone ask you if you are having a bad day.. All you had to do was a smile to let them know...

A smile can bring joy and peace to another faster than words can do..

Have you smile today?
