Your duty is to sanctify yourself. Yes, even you. Who thinks that this task is only for priests and religious? To everyone, without exception, our Lord said: Be ye perfect, as my heavenly Father is perfect. St. Josemaria

United in Our Lady's Suffering

Dear Friends in Christ, this Lent has shown me to open up my heart to God's will and trust. This past Friday, Our Lady of Sorrows, we are once again united in Her sorrows as we lost our sweet baby boy, Benedicto.

As my 3rd angle arrives in the mist of Our Lady's Sorrows, I feel her pain. As I walked through the cold and quiet hallway in the hospital yesterday to my room, I recall Our Lady's walk with her son during the carrying of the cross. As I try so hard to carry my cross of my sweet lost, I turn to Our Lord, who picks up my cross and units it with His.

As I feel this pain during the sadness of this labor that will not bring forth the joy of my baby's cry, I unit myself with Christ's suffering of the crown of thorns.

As I see him laying motionlessness, helpless, I unit my own helpless to Christ's saving words,
"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light".

During the start of Holy Week, I will be able to truly join in the sufferings of Our Lady, as we bury our son this Wednesday. Who less to be my true model , my shoulder to cry on, my Life and my being, than Our Dear Blessed Mother as she will show me the way to the Holy Cross.

Please keep us in your prayers.

May you have a true and meaningful Holy Week as we wait for the beautiful rise of the sun on Glorious Sunday, as Our Lord over comes all suffering, all sadness, for love and joy.

Our Latest News

I want to thank you dear friends for your prayers that I had requested. It seems God has a plan for our family that at times, I wish He let me on them.

My husband's job is transferring him from Northeast state of Delaware to a southern state of Mississippi. We have lived here as a family from the start of our family 11 years ago where we have very close and dear friends, a very strong home-schooling support, and a very lovely parish.

Now we have to sell our home and move to a new and unknown area (while pregnant).. However, God is good with us since my husband has a great job that he is wanted for his skills, his knowledge and his work ethics. His employer will help with a "relocation package" but in all, it will be hard to leave something you know to the unknown, people you love dearly, your children love dearly to the unknown.

But this is my lent, God is showing us, myself that He is in control, not I and that I need to let go of things and of relationship and trust Him and only Him.

As my dear 9 year tells me when I try to explain to her this plan without crying, " Mom, if it is God's will, than no matter what, we will happy."

So if you can please just keep us in your prayers that I don't lose my mind in the process of this relocation .

Have a Blessed Day...

Your Prayers Needed.

My dear friends in Christ, I would like to ask you to say a prayer today to St.Joseph for a very special intention for our family. May God give you strength and courage this Lenten season.

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your devine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls - Pray for me.

My Lent

We are just almost finishing up our 1st week of lent. I have to say , doing good, staying strong and focus. My personal plans of lent , really is just to simplify my life in all areas, Faith, Home, and Life. I have taken some actions towards this way of life that has been a big improvement already.

Since I have limited my access to my online time, I have seen that I do have more time and get more done. Laundry is wash and put away everyday, kitchen is clean and dinner done by 6pm (we eat late here), our daily chores are complete by morning and school is over by afternoon. We also have been decluttering our things and what a sense of freedom in that!

Since I have add more to my spiritual life such as great books, The Devout Life, Bible, Conversations with God, and few more practice, I have felt more peace in my life and I sense God more present in my day.

Until we meet again, I pray that you have a Blessed Lent!
