A Fast Give-Away

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

It sounds so simple and its so true. But do we do it for His glory? Do we eat, drink and all for His Glory?

I never put more thought into it that a simple act of eating or drinking can be done for His Glory. Its in the little things of daily life that does bring this glory to God.

Everyone is call to be a  Saint. Everyone. But most of us will not be those type of Saints such as Padre Pio, St. Therese, etc. that the world will know of us. No but we are going to be Saints in the little acts of every single day. And at the end of the day, a Saint is a Saint.

God wants our Love be shown in details. God is not indifferent to our smallest actions. He is delighted.
The interior life is composed of many little acts of love towards the Lord. In the course of our lives, we will have few monumental deeds to present to God. Nevertheless, every day is full of little opportunities to be faithful. This is how we can win over God's love on a daily basis.
In order to be faithful in little things we need a lively love for God. This love will be proved in Little details.
Each and every circumstance and event can be converted into something pleasing to God, no matter how important or trivial it may seem to us. We can attract the attention of Jesus through our approach to little things. We can move the Lord's heart by the love we put into them for his sake.

Each one of us can imagine the many opportunities there are to convert the dullest day into the most heroic episode. We simply have to offer to God the little details of the present moment.
Francis Carvajal in Lukewarmness The Devil in Disguise

Those are some heavy food for thoughts.  So speaking of Food, in our most simple and daily act of food and drink, we can and should give Glory to God by taking care of what we are eating and drinking and how often.

Its not easy this way of life but it is I believe a very powerful tool in helping one to control ones willpower as well as giving glory to God.   But the fruits of being able to fast and pray for God's glory is beyond anything we can ever dream of .

So, I came across another documentary after, Eat, Fast and Live Longer and its called, Fat Sick and Nearly Dead.    Very well done and interesting. Watch the trailer and you can watch the whole thing on Netflix or maybe on YouTube if you don't have netflix.

There are so many great information on this whole thing of fasting or Intermittent Fasting .
Here are a few sources:
Mark's Daily Apple  and    ifaster  intermittent fasting for women

There are many facebook pages, and forum support out there.
You can join us at Pray & Fast which is more of a catholic view with fasting for support.

Now, ever since I  fell upon this way of life, I have not just lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks but my cycles have been normal. I also notice food better if that makes sense especially on my feast days. I don't really feast as you think but I take my time and enjoy my food and really see what I am eating. My energy level has increased and I think that also has help with  my workouts.

So Dr. Molsey book has finally arrived in the USA in Feb. So I am giving away his book:
The FastDiet in either regular book or kindle

Great, so far you are the only one in the run for the book. It really is an eye changer and especially when you put the Catholic twist to it. Good Luck. Thanks for stopping by.
