What a weekend!

Well, Its been a weekend of pure suffering but when you learn to offer it up to God, it always works out for the best. Even thu one might not know what that is at the moment but hopefully one day we'll know!

From Thursday to Friday morning... I woke up really a different person! I have this thing they call Bell's Palsy... which is as its states on Webmd:

Bell's palsy is a paralysis or weakness of the muscles on one side of your face. Damage to the facial nerve that controls muscles on one side of the face causes that side of your face to droop. The nerve damage may also affect your sense of taste and how you make tears and saliva. This condition comes on suddenly, often overnight, and usually gets better on its own within a few weeks.

Its not that it hurts. Its very uncomfortable. I have a hard time eating and even after a while talking. My right eye tears all the time, which is a pain. But you know that the worst part of it for me, its not how I look (which goes great for Halloween), but when I kiss my kids especially the babymums.. I can't really feel that I am kissing her. (if that makes sense). One feels that people are looking at you strange that you have to explain your case! Aww...

Than to add to the fire, Saturday morning, I get a call from Babymums doctor that we have to take her to the hospital to get johndus testing on her. So we go early Saturday morning and get home very late on Sunday night. Trying to get blood out of a 7 days old baby is not easy at all and boy did she cry. They also had to put an IV and they had to try at least 2 different times with different nurses! That was hard!

But you know that offering up suffering no matter how small or large have a great impact on the world! I hope that all this will help us with the election.

As my great friends says: "Don't lose heart. I have seen you struggle: to-day's defeat is training for the final victory." St. JoseMaria

God bless you and your family. Thanks for your prayers!

Cecilia,

Prayers coming from our family to yours.

I had a friend experience Bells Palsy after having twins. It did seem to get better over time, but what a suffering to bear after giving birth.

I can so relate and feel so bad for you! I have had this happen as well (shortly after delivering our 4th). It was awful! It went away after about a month, but ever since certain foods make one side of my mouth go numb, and sometimes swell (which I guess is something different... but still weird.) So I totally know what you mean about not feeling like you are kissing your kids.

Hang in there!!! I will be praying for you and for your little one!!

God Bless!!
