40 Days for Our Country: TODAY

Today starts the   40 Days for Our Country. Yes, we feel that we are in the mist of Lent. We see our country and we are lost without God.  We have to sacrifices all that we can for these last 40 days for Our Country, everyone from the littlest child to grandparents.  Just as those soldiers sacrifice their lives for our Independence , we too are called to sacrifices our lives for our country and our religious freedom now.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops have printed up a beautiful prayer card that we are to pray today for 40 days and also have our most Beautiful Mother Mary Immaculate , Patroness of Our Country to pray for us.

O GOD OUR CREATOR, from your provident hand we received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as your people and given us the right and the duty to worship you, the only true God, and your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit,  you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel to every corner of society.

We ask you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. Give us the strenght of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened; give us courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.

Grant we pray O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters gathered in your Church in this decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that with every trial withstood and every danger overcome for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us- this great land will always be "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and Justice for all."

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

As I was doing my morning pray, I open up my bible to 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17/3: 1-5 and I truly felt God's present in these words today.

  

 

But we, brethren beloved of God, are bound to give thanks to God always for you, because God has chosen you as first-fruits unto salvation through the sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the TRUTH. For this purpose he also call you  by our preaching to gain the GLORY of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then brethren, STAND FIRM, and HOLD the teachings that you have learned, whether by word or by letter of ours. And may  our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and has given us through grace everlasting consolation and goo hope, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

 

In conclusion, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified even as among you, and that we may be DELIVERED from troublesome and evil men; for not all men have the faith.

 

But the LORD IS FAITHFUL, who will strengthen you and guard you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord as regards you , that you both do and will do the things that we enjoin. And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and the PATIENCE of Christ.

 

Please stay strong and pray and scarifices  and pray and scarifices.  Our 'sfuture, our children's future in the land of the FREE and BRAVE, right now lays in our hands.  Don't put your candlight under the bed, show the world, show our lost countrymen .. that WE ARE THE LIGHT of the WORLD!  I beg you so!
