Time is everything..
As I was getting ready to post about this story I came to know today, about Vickie Danner
a Catholic homeschool mom in the Kansas City area who is dying of breast cancer. Her husband has lost his job. The family (seven children) are facing foreclosure as well as losing their mom. A website has been set up, giving details and asking for donations.
I go back to her site and was just inform now that She has just passed away today. It makes me sad for sure since these children just lost their mothers and the least of the worries will be losing their home soon. (They have until June 7th to pay). I wonder about TIME... God's time is everything and yet its never what we think of it for ourselves. I never heard of Vickie until this morning and going on her site and seeing her picture and reading her story and I donated money and pray for her family and few hours later, God called his Faithful servant home.
I wonder how many people today learn of her story, prayed for her and maybe that was what God was waiting for , a day filled with prayers for her by strangers yet brothers and sister in HIS Church, to give her and her family the courage and faith to do His Will.
A Prayer For a Mother who has died
Dear Lord, relying on your promises to us, I turn to you in trust that this mother is with you and that she is enjoying your loving embrace. You alone know how she loved the best she could and how she faithfully endured the struggles that she faced. You know the graces you gave her and you know the grace she was for her family and for so many. For all the ways she truly loved the way you loved her, please reward her, Lord. May she enjoy the communion of all her family and friends who are with you.
Amen
