Just a Smile!

“Smiling constantly, which is often very difficult; serving the Lord with joy and serving other people, for his sake, with joy too; these are two specific areas I want to stress. It’s like a bunch of flowers which a little child picks as he trots back and forth: while the rest have only walked half a kilometer, the little one has covered several kilometers, and the others don’t even notice. Even if you reach a high position in life, make the effort to be very little before God, and to be the servants of all.” In these words Saint Josemaría encouraged those who lived with him in Rome to make the most of little everyday things.

What are some of the little everyday things....
Waking up before the kids wake up
Feeling a breeze as you sit by the window
The smile from your son's face as you bring him down from his crib
The smell of coffee that you made for your husband
A phone call from a friend
Seeing the kids play nicely at the sandbox
Reading a spiritual book and feeling that it was meant for you that day
Unexpected kiss from a little boy
Nice nap
A evening sundown

There is so many little everyday things that go unnoticed. Smiling the most simple way to show love and feel loved yet its the hardest thing to do at time. We don't notice we are not smiling until someone ask you if you are having a bad day.. All you had to do was a smile to let them know...

A smile can bring joy and peace to another faster than words can do..

Have you smile today?
